DUTIES: Obtain payment information on civil investigations of health care providers who fraudulently or incorrectly bill the Virginia Medicaid program for services. Obtain payment information from the Department of Medical Assistance Services to determine erroneous overpayments. Create reports on payment information for attorney’s assigned to handle the civil prosecution. This position is located in our Richmond, Virginia office. Some overnight travel required.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have the ability to construct and manipulate large scale and complex datasets using Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS), a computer program used to obtain the Department of Medical Assistance Services Medicaid payment information. This position will also require a person with the ability to create the production of aggregate data sets and reports driven by project specific needs and reporting requirements. Qualified candidates should have a B.A. or B.S. degree and 3-6 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 1-4 years of experience, preferably in a mathematical, statistical, or computer science field. Further, this position requires at least two years of data management experience and strong SAS programming skills especially with SAS Macros. Criminal background check will be completed on successful candidate.
SALARY: This is a salaried, non-exempt position with full state benefits. Salary commensurate with experience.
